We have some new services coming soon, and we can’t wait to share! 

Katie Gartin will soon be offering Halo Couture Extensions, an extension innovation taking the hair industry by storm. Halos are custom cut and colored hair extension pieces that are self-applied like a headband. The thick weft, similar to a row of hand-tied extensions, is connected by a thin, “fishing wire” thread that disappears into your natural hair, creating the “halo” around your head. This design distributes the weight of the extension hair around your head, making for easy application, no-damage results, and long-lasting styles. 

Halos are ideal for someone who wants a low maintenance, lower-cost alternative to hand-tied extensions. Because the halos are made with real hair, they can be custom colored and cut to blend into your hair. Put in your custom halo for work, an event, or date night, and have the convenience of taking it out at the end of the night!

In more new service updates, Drew has added a few new manicure options to her service list! The first addition is related to the much-loved Gel X service: Gel Extension Fills! Gel X sets can be filled if there is minimal lifting between the nail tip and the natural nail. A Gel X fill is a similar process to filling a set of acrylic nails--the old polish is filed off to create a smooth nail base, which can then be filled with extend gel to create a seamless blend between your nail growth and the Gel X tip. The second addition is the sculpted hard gel manicure. Hard gel, or sculpted gel, is a great alternative to acrylic: hard gel is hypoallergenic, more flexible, and less brittle. Hard gel can be applied as an overlay to your natural nails, or sculpted to lengthen and change your nail shape. This manicure is cured under a nail lamp, just like a gel polish, but cannot be soaked off--it must be filed off. Sculpted hard gel manicures are the best fit for those looking to grow their natural nails, with low maintenance and low damage to your nails. 

“Why should I get a hard gel manicure instead of a regular gel manicure?” The number one difference between hard gel and regular gel is going to be the strength of the product. Regular gel provides mainly color and design, with little strength; hard gel provides a strong base that can be painted to fit your aesthetic. If you are struggling with nail breakage, a gel manicure may not provide the strength and support needed to grow your nails. 

Following a full set appointment, we suggest coming in every 3-4 weeks to get a fill, where old polish is filed off, new growth is filled, and new polishes and designs are applied.
